What is Apostille?

In order for a document issued in one country to be accepted in another country, it needs a legalization for overseas use. Although the credibility of national documents is generally verified by obtaining "Embassy Authentication" after "Ministry of Foreign Affairs Certification (Consular Legalization)“, there has been an inconvenience in terms of time and cost. In order to resolve such inconveniences, the Apostille Convention has emerged, which recognizes documents with Apostilles attached as legalized documents among member countries without a consular legalization through overseas missions.
Effective Date : Prepared in Hague on October 5th 1961, Effective since January 24th 1965
